Products

A Product represents a single software application or service that you sell. Each product has its own:

• Name and Code: Unique identifiers for the product.
• Releases: Enable version checks to limit licenses to specific releases.
• Features: Toggleable capabilities within the software.
• Licenses: Access rights granted to users.

Products and Product Groups are effectively presets for your license keys. Settings are inherited but can be overridden. When creating a license key, you generate it for a specific product. That key will then validate only against that product's ID.

Product Groups

Product Groups allow you to share settings between multiple products. If you have multiple products that share the same settings, such as Trial, Timed, and Perpetual licenses, you can create a product group that allows you to specify the settings once and apply them to multiple products. You can specify the license type and duration at the product level and all other settings will be inherited from the product group.

Product groups are available to all users including free accounts.
